If you are bored of traditional Scrabble, Jenga and Monopoly, these Games will definitely shake things up. Some are on the card Games, some are board games and some are totally unique. (Have you ever thrown a stuffed burrito at someone in a game before?)
Take a look below at these five fun (and newer) games on the market that you can play with anyone from your little cousin to your great-grandmother.
1. Down that, $24.99
Recommended age: 9 years and over
Numbers of players: 2–8 players
Down that is a game that includes 160 wacky challenges, like tossing a ball of paper into a trash can across the room or gargling along to a favorite song. The key to winning is betting on your ability to complete said challenges, whether you complete them alone, with a partner, or against all players in a battle royale.
2. Throw Throw Burrito, $19.82 (original $24.99)
Recommended age: 7 years and over
Numbers of players: 2–6 players
Throw Throw Burrito is part card game, part dodgeball, and it moves fast. The goal is to collect matching sets of cards faster than your opponents. However, there are a few battle cards that involve tossing the stuffed burritos between players, and all mayhem is unleashed. Put away all fragile items and prepare to move.
3. Cards Against Humanity: Family Edition, $19.95 (original $25)
Recommended age: 8 years and over
Numbers of players: 4–20+ players
Do you know the hot game Cards Against Humanity? Good, this is the attenuated version for families. Yes, it’s kid-friendly, which means there are no swear words or inappropriate scenarios. It has 600 cards with lots of toilet humor that will have children and the cackling adults (i.e. “Fill my butt with spaghetti”).
4. Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, $8.76 (original $10.99)
Recommended age: 8 years and over
Numbers of players: 3–8 players
This card game move fast! Here’s how to play. It seems simple at first sight: there are tacos, cat, goat, cheese and pizza cards. While taking the trick, each player says aloud one of the words from the name of the game – taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza (in that order) – while each placing a card on a center deck on the table. When the spoken word matches the card, players slap the deck and the last player must collect all the cards. For example, when a player says “taco” while putting down a taco card, you slap. (There are also some special cards in there.) To win, a player must get rid of all their cards and be the first to hit the deck in a match.
5. It’s in the bag!, $25.99
Recommended age: 10 years and over
Numbers of players: 10+ players
It’s in the bag! is a family charades game. First, split into two teams. Then everyone draws a card. In the first round, you’ll try to describe your map to your team without saying a word. In the second round, you can use a word to describe it. And in the third round, you act. At the end, the team that guesses the most cards and earns the most points wins!
