An animal alphabet – Orange County Register
One of my favorites the author and illustrator for children is Eric Carle and while this week’s kid-friendly app is not a creation of Carle, the artwork featured in the app appears to be inspired by Carle’s unique collage technique. The result is a series of stunning illustrations for each letter of the alphabet.
Children will be captivated by the bright and beautiful animal art works; the alphabet has never really looked so good.
The app is minimal on bells and whistles, but as a former teacher, I can tell you from experience that this is not a bad thing. Rather than trying to sell your child fancy animations and a loud, distracting sound, An Animal Alphabet sticks to the basics by creating a visual kaleidoscope of color and combining it with simple phrases rich in alliteration to the 26 letters.
Your child can also listen to animal sounds by touching each image displayed on the screen.
A fabulous and fun way to introduce the alphabet to your little one, but I bet you will be mesmerized too.
