Bayern Munich announce summer US tour
Bayern Munich have announced a summer tour of the United States, their first visit to the country since 2019.
The club have dubbed it their “Back on the Road” tour, having postponed all non-match related travel since the start of the pandemic.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team will cross the Atlantic from July 18-24 in what will be the team’s fifth trip to the United States, following visits in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019.

Bayern will land in the capital Washington DC, where they will stay from July 18-22. They have already scheduled a summer friendly against MLS side DC United on July 20, with a second game against an as-yet-unconfirmed opponent yet to be announced.
“After two years of the pandemic, we look forward to reconnecting with fans with our hugely popular and successful Audi Summer Tours,” Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn said in a statement posted on the club’s website.
“It will be great to see the enthusiasm of the people there. FC Bayern are ‘back on the road’ – always looking forward and with the aim of pleasing our fans.”
On Bayern’s final trip to the United States of 2019, a whirlwind 10-day tour that spanned Los Angeles, Houston and Kansas, they recorded friendly wins over Real Madrid and AC Milan but lost to Arsenal.
