Hull FC have confirmed their intention to face the Bradford Bulls in a pre-season friendly next month.

The two clubs have rekindled the dual-purpose partnership they had before the pandemic and they will share players throughout the 2022 campaign.

Part of the deal will see Brett Hodgson take part in Odsal for a warm-up match next month as blacks and whites continue their preparations for the Super League season.

This game will celebrate the career of Danny Brough who was forced to hang up and retire earlier this year on the back of medical advice.

Brough has played for Hull and Bradford throughout his career and he will be the main man when the two sides come together.

Black & White have not released any details about this match, however, according to the Our League app, the match will take place in Odsal on Sunday, January 16.

The app also suggests that Hull will travel to West Yorkshire two weeks later for another pre-season game as it shows they are set to face Leeds Rhinos at Headingley in a warm-up match on Sunday 30 January .

More details regarding the club’s pre-season campaign will be announced in the coming days, with potentially a game or two to be confirmed.

However, the trip to Leeds is set to be their most difficult outing before the competitive action begins and it comes just a fortnight before their opener against Wakefield Trinity at Belle Vue.

The clash certainly looks set to intrigue too, as Luke Gale returns to Headingley for the first time since his off-season release.

FC friendly matches, according to Notre Ligue

Bradford Bulls v Hull FC – Sunday January 16 – kick off 3pm

Leeds Rhinos v Hull FC – Sunday 30 January – kick off 3pm

Ten years ago Cards Against Humanity launched a Launch campaign and managed to generate an estimated revenue of $ 12 million (the estimate was made in 2013) from its $ 25 (SGD 33) card game. Avalon

For anyone familiar with werewolves, this is a more medieval version, where the luck of the draw determines whether you are the villain or the hero of this story. Work with other villains or heroes to distract or mislead players by making choices that will fail or succeed in missions. This game involves a lot of careful deduction and discussion, and only the more cunning will prevail.

Catan game 5th edition

First published in 1995, Catan (formerly known as The Settlers of Catan or simply The Settlers) is the winner of the “Game of the Century” award. As settlers, the object of the game is to occupy as much of the island as possible through trade and construction while avoiding the thief. Tactically place your settlements and routes, compete or negotiate with your friends over resources and run to earn 10 points to emerge victorious!

Explosive Kittens Card Game

The most supported project in Kickstarter history, Exploding Kittens is played by drawing cards from a deck face down until someone draws an Exploding Kitten. When this happens, that person “explodes” and is now out of the game. This process continues until there is only one player left who wins the game. Sounds easy, until you include all the other cards you can play to spread the bombkitten and increase the chances of someone else getting the card.

Classic monopoly game

The good old Monopoly Classic hardly needs to be introduced. Buy, sell and collect rents to get to the top of the food chain, and possibly destroy your relationships with your family along the way! Just kidding, but it’s still a slow paced but fun game for a lazy Sunday afternoon with friends and family.

Monopoly agreement

If you’re looking for something that goes faster than Classic Monopoly, the Monopoly Tuning is the way to go. Requiring only 15 minutes to play, all you have to do is collect three sets of properties to win the game. Do some devious business and charge exorbitant rent to start your game!

So Cards: a collection of questions for further discussion

A great way to avoid shallow conversations and dive straight into the depths, So Cards kicks off the conversation from How? ‘Or’ What are you at Who are you. Draw a random card and start a conversation that might help you learn new things about old friends, family, and even your partner.

Sushi party! Card game

Are you a fan of Japanese cuisine? In this game, earn points by choosing winning sushi combos from a menu of over 20 delicious dishes. Strategically collecting sushi dishes will earn you more points. Up to 8 players can participate in the sushi feast. Let the good times roll!

Unstable unicorns

The goal of Unstable Unicorns is simple: to be the first player to collect seven unicorns. The only problem is that each player has the exact same goal. The good thing is that the cards are unpredictable, creative, and hugely entertaining. Will you be destroyed or will you emerge victorious?

10 newb-friendly games for the non-gamers in your life https://frendlypresents.com/10-newb-friendly-games-for-the-non-gamers-in-your-life/ Tue, 07 Dec 2021 22:02:06 +0000 https://frendlypresents.com/10-newb-friendly-games-for-the-non-gamers-in-your-life/ You have to start somewhere Holiday shopping can be pretty tough, especially when you have really different interests and hobbies than your non-gamer friends or family. You have to start somewhere

Holiday shopping can be pretty tough, especially when you have really different interests and hobbies than your non-gamer friends or family. Giving gifts, however, can be a great opportunity to introduce your loved ones to the magic of gambling, as there is nothing better than helping someone understand your passions and then enjoy them together.

The only thing is, if you want to gift a game to someone who’s never tried it before, you have to make sure it’s the right one, lest you risk putting them out of the game forever. To give you some practical suggestions, or at least get you thinking on the right path, here’s our list of the best newb-friendly games to give to your favorite non-gamers this holiday season.

1. Minecraft

Taking into account the different types of potential actors, Minecraft is an all-rounder when it comes to game recommendations. It may appeal to people who just want to relax in creative mode and build something cool, as well as those who want to challenge themselves with survival mode.

There is also a plethora of mods out there that can meet all kinds of niche interests, so you can customize the game to appeal to anyone in your life. To top it off, it’s also a great way to help someone learn the game controls in a low stakes, low pressure environment.

2. Valley of stars

Stardew Valley is a great entry point for beginners and even non-gamers

Valley of stars is a great choice for a new player due to its more laid back feel. The game never rushes you or forces you to do anything in particular – you can play it however you like. The mechanics are also simple and relaxing (with the exception of combat, but new players can progress to that), and do a good job of making the player easier as they learn.

There’s also the benefit of being a 2D game, so you don’t have to worry about moving everything around and looking at the same time if it’s a stumbling block. Just make sure you set them up with the practice fishing rod at first, and your buddy should have a great time.

3. Pokemon

Pokemon games like the Let's Go remakes are an easy place to start

I missed the Pokemon practice the first time, but after playing Sword & Shield, I agree with my friends who say this series is a great way to introduce someone to turn-based combat or JRPGs. Having cute little creatures to collect is a fun and easily understandable goal, and you don’t have to be amazing in the game to progress, especially with the newer entries in the series. I heard Pokémon: Let’s go, Pikachu / Eevee! can be a great place to start, but you probably won’t have a problem if you’ve been trying some major series entry releases over the past decade or so.

4. Telltale The walking dead

Telltale's The Walking Dead can talk to fans of the TV series

Telltale’s The walking dead is a great choice because while it introduces new characters, it’s part of a franchise that non-players are already familiar with. It’s even structured like a TV show with its episodes, which also break what is overall a longer game into manageable chunks.

The gameplay itself is mostly limited to dialogue choices, but also includes some classic point-and-click adventure elements – both of these factors can make this a great starting point for trying out other games that share these mechanics.

5. Portal

Portal is a good introductory first person game

Portal is also a great game that I recommend for beginners as it is the game I played to learn the mechanics of shooting on a controller. Because it’s a puzzle game that only has stationary turrets as enemies, you can really take your time trying to figure out how the camera works. Some of the later levels require perfectly timed shots, but by the time you get there you’re pretty much the controls down.

There is also the fact that Portal has one of the best gaming stories out there, so aside from helping a new player learn the ropes, they can also see some of the awesome stories that games are capable of. I would just like to avoid this one for someone who is particularly averse to puzzles as it can be quite difficult to come up with some of the solutions.

6. Journey

Journey is a great game for people who are short on time.

One of the issues I have encountered while trying to recommend games to someone who has never played them is the time it takes to complete most of them, but Journey overrides this problem by having a run time of approximately two hours. What better way to convince a skeptic than to have him play a great game that is nothing more than a movie?

Journey is also a friendly new player due to its smooth and relaxing gameplay. There are no visible enemies, so your friends shouldn’t have a problem getting to the end. The game is also known for its beautiful visual style and music, so if you show someone Journey, they know they are getting the best of the game.

seven. Overcooked

Overcooked is a gift to share

Want to be able to play alongside that friend or family member while they learn the ropes? No problem! Overcooked is a great option – although things can get a bit hectic as you progress through the levels, the game is designed to be easy to pick up and understand. Considering this is one of those games where you can see yourself mastering it as you go, it can give you a nice boost in confidence before you kick your new player into the deep end.

8. Fire watch

Firewatch doesn't have overly complicated controls

Fire watch is such a fun ride, but in different ways than you might think. The gameplay is super simple and mostly consists of walking around and interacting with objects. The real star of the show here is its story, especially its voice acting, which may make it the perfect option for someone who prefers a more narrative experience, if that’s something your new player enjoys.

I know for me story games were a great way to get started with the hobby first and then I started trying more gameplay-rich games once I learned the ropes. job. Fire watch also has the benefit of helping players learn commands at their own pace, such as Portal.

9. What remains of Edith Finch

What Remains of Edith Finch is a highlight of storytelling game design

Many of the principles that apply to Fire watch are also in play here. What remains of Edith Finch is in the upper echelon of game stories, in my opinion, so it’s another great choice for those who love storytelling.

IIt also has some really clever gameplay sections that I think showcase some of the best storytelling designs in the business. It’s melancholy and touching, and it’s yet another relatively short game that can help you learn the controls, so this one is a must-have for new players.

ten. Unexplored 2

Uncharted 2 is a great starting point for curious gamers who enjoy action and adventure.

If you have a friend who loves action movies and just wants to feel like a hero, Unexplored 2 is the way forward. I could recommend the first one Unexplored, but some parts of that game haven’t aged very well in terms of gameplay (I’m looking at you, jet ski level), and the sequel is where Naughty Dog really got its way with the franchise, both in terms of storytelling and gameplay.

You have adorable characters, gripping action, and puzzles that will make you stop and think, making it perfect for a movie buff. Besides, if they end up liking, there are still four more Unexplored games they can go and play.

National basketball team head coach Cheikh Sarr described upcoming warm-up matches as an opportunity for his team to compete against the best ahead of the African Men’s Basketball Championship final 2021 (AfroBasket) in Kigali.

The two-week centerpiece runs from August 24 to September 5, at the Kigali Arena.

Sarr has named a 17-man squad that will travel to the Senegalese capital on Friday August 6, ahead of friendlies with Senegal and Guinea August 10-14 at the Dakar Arena.

The Senegalese tactician said the friendlies would be an important opportunity for his team to test their skills against top players from opposing teams, especially those plying their trade in the NBA.

“It’s a good opportunity for us to test our skills. We haven’t had the chance to do it here. We have had a few scrum matches but going to Senegal will give us the opportunity to play against players from the NBA playing at a high level., “He said.

Following the Dakar warm-up matches, the team will return to Kigali on Monday August 16 and face Egypt in two more friendly matches scheduled for August 19 and 21 at the Kigali Arena, as part of their final preparations for the Afrobasket 2021 men’s final.

Rwanda were drawn in Group A with Angola, 11 times African champion, neighbor of Democratic Republic of Congo and Cope Verde.

Sarr’s boys will look to capitalize on their home advantage as he looks to make history with the hosts aiming to beat the rest of the continental silverware, including defending champions Tunisia.

The team in Dakar:

Jean Jacques Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza, Ntore Habimana, Aristide Mugabe, Sedar Sagamba, Steven Hagumintwari, Armel Sangwe, Axel Mpoyo, Arnaud Nkusi, Dieudonné Ndayisaba Ndizeye, Olivier Shyaka, Marius Trésor Ntwari, Elie Kajye, William Manzi and Chinese Gasana.

Astro Playroom developer Team Asobi is committed to continuing to create family-friendly games in its new role as a standalone PlayStation studio.

Tokyo-based Asobi was transformed into his own stand-alone PlayStation studio earlier this year, after parent company Sony Interactive Entertainment decided to disband Japan Studio, the historic PlayStation group it was previously a part of.

Monday Asobi launched a website to showcase his new form and claimed his next game project would be his “most ambitious” yet.

“We are a dynamic new PlayStation Studio based in bustling Tokyo, Japan,” the site says. “We create top quality games for players of all ages on PlayStation.

“Our latest work is the critically acclaimed Astro Bot: Rescue Mission for Playstation VR and Astro’s Playroom for PlayStation 5. We’re currently working hard on our most ambitious game yet!

Asobi’s new website describes its production team as “a collective of passionate game makers of different nationalities, ages, genders and backgrounds.”

Astro Playroom Developer Pledges to Continue Family Games in New Form
Team Asobi became a standalone PlayStation studio this year.

He adds: “We are united by our love of ‘Play’ in all its forms. We value fun, innovation and attention to detail. We are curious and we are always looking to improve our skills. Last but not least, we believe in a good work-life balance and a pleasant workplace.

Last week, a job posting for Asobi suggested the developer is working on a new 3D action game.

An Asobi team job posting on LinkedIn shows that the studio is looking for a game designer who will specialize in creating “a variety of levels for a 3D action game”.

In December, Astro’s Playroom designer Nicolas Ducet said he would be considering a sequel to Astro’s Playroom, but that there were no plans at this point and much would depend on the popularity of the game.

In VGC’s review on Astro’s Playroom, we said, “Astro’s Playroom is both DualSense’s killer app and an unmistakable and imaginative homage to PlayStation history. Games have never been so satisfying.
