New updates are added at the bottom of this story…….

The original story (published September 20, 2022) follows:

What could be more exciting than seeing your favorite Disney and Pixar characters come to life in an adventure game that lets players embark on a variety of intriguing quests.

However, we have witnessed many bugs and issues with the game lately. For example, the “With Great Power” quest recently stopped progressing for many players.

Disney Dreamlight Valley ‘A Friendly Exchange’ Isn’t Progressing

And now many players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, seven, 8) reported an issue where they can’t complete the quest “A Friendly Exchange” because it doesn’t save progress.

Source

I’m in the “quest for a friendly exchange” and to the point where I just have to listen to wall-e talking to Ariel, but they just don’t interact at all. I tried different areas and turned the game off and on again. I don’t know how to fix this problem
Source

I can’t complete the Wall-E quest “A Friendly Exchange”. I gave all the items to Wall-E, but he’s not talking to Ariel.
Source

The quest asks players to listen to Wall-E and Ariel as they exchange gifts. But the conversation between these characters never starts, making it impossible to complete the quest.

Even when the characters are face to face, they don’t really engage in conversation. The problem also persists among other characters like Anna and Kristoff, Ariel and Eric, etc.

Players unable to pick up a light bulb

Aside from Ariel and Wall-E who don’t speak, Disney Dreamlight Valley players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, seven, 8) are also facing an issue where they are unable to collect or pick up the bulb.

Disney-Dreamlight-Valley-players fail to pick up the bulb
Source

I can’t pick up the light bulb in wall-e’s house for his quest with Ariel. It spawns in the middle of its house and there’s no interact button when I approach it. Has anyone else had this problem?
Source

So I’m trying to complete Wall-e level 10 friendship quest. I found everything but it won’t let me pick up the light bulb. my inventory is not full and the button to pick it up does not activate.
Source

In the “A Friendly Trade” quest, players must collect items to trade Ariel. But many are unable to acquire the light bulb found in Wall-E’s house.

Disney Dreamlight Valley players have managed to collect other items like the bowling pin and the toy train, but have no idea when it comes to getting the light bulb.

Official recognition

So far, the devs have only acknowledged the issue where players cannot pick up a light bulb in the quest “A Friendly Exchange”.

Potential Workarounds

Luckily, we have found workarounds that may possibly help fix both issues. Players experiencing issues with Ariel and Wall-E not conversing can try talking to them separately for a potential fix.

i had to make sure the wall wasn’t hanging out with me then i talked to him and ariel separately and for some reason it finally got them to talk to each other lol
Source

Affected players can also try waiting for the two characters to start talking to each other.

I found it best to wait. Move on. Go collect resources or something. Go out with another boyfriend. Eventually you will see the characters on the map next to each other not moving. That’s when they’re ready to talk. Just walking close to them, but not too close, should trigger the bubbles above their heads.
Source

Last but not least, simply quit and rejoin the game also seems to solve the problem.

For those who can’t interact with the light bulb, start positioning their characters at random distances and wait for the “E Pick Up” option to flash.

I walked around a few times and noticed “E Pick up” flashing for a second in a certain spot. If you stand directly in front you can’t pick it up, but if you stand a little distance away you should be able to, if I remember correctly I had my back to the wall.
Source

We hope that the issue where the “A Friendly Exchange” quest does not progress in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be resolved soon.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for further developments and updating the article as something noteworthy arises.

Update 1 (September 23, 2022)

6:35 p.m. (IST): Here is a potential workaround suggested by one of the affected people that might help you resolve this issue.

Update: I gave it a few days and tried some workarounds which ultimately didn’t work. I then noticed that Wall-e always went to the same part of the beach, but Ariel never swam there, I had a house right next to where he was, so I moved, then Ariel came and spoke! (Source)

Update 2 (September 26, 2022)

3:54 p.m. (IST): Here is another workaround suggested by one of the affected people that might help you fix the problem with the “A Friendly Exchange” quest.

I moved Wall-E’s house to the beach next to Ariel’s house and they had a conversation almost immediately and I completed the A Friendly Exchange quest.😃 (Source)

Update 3 (September 27, 2022)

6:19 p.m. (IST): A Redditor has suggested a workaround that might help fix the issue with the “A Friendly Exchange” quest.

Workaround: This can be similar to the quest where you have to clean Donald’s boat and you can’t pick up a certain item. I got around it by dropping an object I didn’t care about on the floor and strangely enough I was finally able to pick up the bugged object. It might be worth a try for that too. (Source)

Update 4 (September 28, 2022)

12:57 p.m. (IST): Disney Dreamlight Valley has revealed details of its upcoming fix which includes bug fixes. However, it doesn’t mention any fixes for the “A Friendly Exchange” quest.

This is how families can receive student loans forgiveness.

Here’s what you must be aware of.

Student Loans

In the continuing effort to receive student debt forgiveness, parents might be wondering if they are eligible for student loan cancellation. The good news is that it’s possible. Parents who have student loans need to complete a series of steps to have their student loans repaid. That’s what you have to complete.

How can I obtain student loan forgiveness?

Similar to the majority of student loan forgiveness options, parents who have federal student loans may be eligible to get the cancellation of student loans. In particular, parents who take out a Parent Plus loan for their dependent child’s tuition at school, for instance, have a variety of options available to receive debt forgiveness for their students. This can include:

  • Public service loans forgiveness and
  • Repayments based on income

Are there student loan forgiveness options for parent PLUS loans?

Yes, there are student forgiving loans for parents with PLUS loans. For instance, the loans made through public services are an alternative. ( Do you qualify for the $5 billion in debt forgiveness for student loans?) Parents with Parent PLUS loans may be eligible under the public service loan forgiveness program. Students loan borrowers must be employed full-time for a qualifying private or nonprofit company. When it comes to the public sector loan for forgiveness, It’s not your job that is important. It’s your employer. Employing the federal government might be eligible. However, working for a consultancy firm where you collaborate with the federal government would not be considered. ( Biden stopped challenging student loan forgiveness due to the public outrage).

How do you enroll?

You’ll want to sign up for an income-driven plan to repay. These plans establish the amount you pay each month according to your income discretionary and the size of your family. There are four primary income-driven repayment plans: the Income-Based Repayment (IBR) as well as Payment As You Earn (PAYE), Revised Pay As You Earn (REPAYE), and Income-Contingent Repayment (ICR). For loans for parents with parental PLUS, ICR is the only option. ICR is offered to forgive student loans. Contact your student loan servicer for details.

PaydayNow suggests, It is important to note that Federal loan students are eligible for repayment based on income. Every year, you’ll be required to renew your earnings and the size of your family. Your monthly student loan payments will be 20 percent of your discretionary income. Make sure you fill out your Employment Certificate Formula for the U.S. Department of Education each year and time you switch employers.

What kind of student loan forgiveness do you be eligible for?

  • The public-service loan forgiveness program: Through the public loan forgiveness program, you can receive complete cancellation of your student loan on the remaining student loan balance after you have made 120 monthly payments to your student loan punctually and in full.
  • Income-driven repayment: When you make an income-driven repayment, you could receive complete forgiveness of student loans on the remaining outstanding student loan after 20 or 25 years (undergraduate student loans) or 25 years (graduate student loans) of loan payments to students.

Be sure that you should consolidate your Parent PLUS Loans.

To be eligible for loan forgiveness under the public service, You must possess Direct Loans. Therefore, if you’ve got a Parent PLUS Loan, you must first consolidate your Parent PLUS Loans with the U.S. Department of Education. This will turn the Parent PLUS Loan into Direct Consolidation Loan. You can then enroll in Income-Contingent Repayment (ICR). If you have more than one child at college, you might decide to wait until the oldest child is graduated to ensure that all of the Parent PLUS Loans you have are included.

If you’ve already taken part in the public sector loan forgiveness program and have had prior payments deemed not eligible, ensure that you submit the limited waiver to allow students eligible for forgiveness of loans.

Are your student loans going to be annulled?

You might be wondering if Parent PLUS Loans will be removed through a large-scale Student Loan cancellation. Well, it depends. Senator. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Senate Majority Chuck Schumer (D-NY) have suggested canceling up to $50,000 in student loans to student loan borrowers. The plan was halted in Congress. However, they’re hoping that president Joe Biden will sign an executive order to end student loans for millions of loan borrowers. ( Biden has canceled the student loans of $15 billion). Confident parents might be eligible, while some may not. ( Here’s who won’t receive students loan repayment). For example, in this case, any proposal to cancel a student loan could only apply directly to Direct Loans. Parent PLUS Loans might need to be combined with being eligible.

In addition, Warren and Schumer’s plan sets a $125,000 annual limit. If you Parent PLUS Loans earning higher than the income threshold, you won’t be eligible to cancel your student loans. There’s no evidence that Congress nor the president are planning to end students’ loans on an extensive basis. Therefore, if you’re searching for relief from student loans, You’ll have more luck in the area of public service loan forgiveness or an income-driven repayment plan.

With student loan relief coming to an end, ensure you’ve got a plan to pay off student loans. Here are some options to repay student loans more quickly:

  • Refinancing student loans (lower rate of interest plus lower monthly payments)
  • Repayment plans that are based on income (lower monthly installment)
  • Lender forgiveness through public services (student grant forgiveness on federal loan)

The classic Earth Day advice on what individuals can do to help save the planet comes down to three words: reduce, reuse, recycle. When it comes to your home, there are a number of ways to put this into practice – and some can really move the needle, both for the planet and your wallet. And while not all of them are inexpensive changes, for some of the bigger options like installing solar panels, local and federal governments can offer tax breaks and other financial incentives. The Ministry of Energy see you about the possible benefits.

Here are five green changes you can make to your home:

1. Consider a cool roof

Making your roof white can lower your energy bill and lower your emissions, especially in relatively urban areas. According to Yale Environment 360, if every rooftop in every major city in the world were white, daytime temperatures could be lowered by an average of 0.6 degrees Celsius. The impact would be even greater in warmer climates. In the United States, white roofs could lower temperatures in Washington, DC, by 1.8 degrees Celsius and up to 1.5 degrees Celsius in Los Angeles.

Earth is on track to be 2.5 degrees Celsius to 4.5 degrees Celsius (4.5 degrees Fahrenheit to 8 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer by 2100, according to Nasa. However, world leaders aim to limit that increases to 1.5 degrees Celsius – which scientists believe could avert the worst impacts of climate change.

How do cool roofs help? A white coating reflects sunlight — up to 60-90% of sunlight, depending on the Ministry of Energy. By comparison, asphalt reflects 4% of light and grasslands reflect 25%, Yale Environment 360 said.

If everyone on the planet installed a white roof, it would slow global warming by 11 years, reports Yale Environment 360. While that number isn’t significant in the grand scheme of our planet’s existence, cool roofs could reduce the number of people who die each year from heat-related problems, especially in urban areas.

Another way to create a cool roof is to add plants. This option is “ideal for urban buildings with low-pitched or shallow pit roofs, and can include anything from basic ground cover (extensive green roof) to a garden or even small trees ( intensive green roof),” says the Department of Energy. . The water evaporating from the plants on the roof keeps the house cool and the layer of soil helps insulate the house. However, a green roof is more expensive, harder to maintain, and much heavier than other cool roof options.

If you’re ready to replace your roof, consider an attractive option. If your roof is still in good condition, consider applying a white roof coating designed to reflect the sun’s rays – New York City even has a program to help building owners cover eligible roofs at no or low cost. EnergyStar.gov has a list of certified options.

2. Replace your grass-dominant lawn

Your garden, whether big or small, can have an impact on climate change. Although manicured lawns have long been the norm for most American homes, experts say a lawn that looks more like its natural environment could be good for the health of the environment and your wallet.

The problem: Treatments to maintain a “perfect” lawn harm the environment. Some fertilizers and pesticides can damage ecosystems and sicken the animals that live there, and when these chemicals move through runoff, they can reach other animals and other ecosystems. Scientists at Princeton University say mowing your lawn or reworking its irrigation system can also lessen some of the positive impacts your lawn has on the environment. And gas-powered lawnmowers and leaf blowers, taken together, can emit significant amounts of CO2.

The solution? In short, Princeton researchers and other experts in the field recommend keeping your lawn natural. This includes reintroducing more native plants to the landscape, adding grass alternatives such as mulch and gravel, and “leaving the lawn on its own” – which means less manicuring.

Although most cities in the United States have certain restrictions on growing your lawn, they may be more flexible than you think. Check local government resource pages to find out what these regulations are. Meanwhile, other cities are pushing to change local laws. For example, Montgomery County, Maryland, changed its rules to allow for more natural lawn growth, according to the NRDC non-profit organization.

Several local governments in the United States even offer residents incentives to give up an all-grass lawn. In Colorado, the government has offered discounts to residents of certain towns who have changed their landscaping, according to The Denver post. The reason? The state was experiencing a severe drought and too much water was wasted on lawn care. Several other western states, including California, Nevada and Utah, offer similar incentives.

3. Buy used furniture

Nearly 12.5 million tons of furniture and furnishings are thrown away each year in the United States, up from about 2.5 million tons in 1960, according to Data of the Environmental Protection Agency. Although about a fifth of this waste is burned with energy recovery, the majority of the rest is sent to landfills. The EPA has found similar patterns for other household items, including rugs and carpets.

The solution? Instead of throwing away your old living room rug or headboard, take it to a local thrift store. And if you’re on the hunt for new furniture, check out second-hand options before buying new. Thrifting is already popular among millennials, although it’s often practiced for clothing and accessories because it’s cheaper and more environmentally friendly. Not only will you limit the amount of waste, but you will also reduce the expenses, including water, electricity and chemicals, that come with making new products.

4. Install solar panels

Every home on the planet emits carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which impact the cleanliness of our water and air, and contribute to climate change.

How can you reduce your impact? Installing solar panels on your home is an option, and a good one. According to the Department of Energy – which has a comprehensive guide on how to switch to solar power on its website – solar panels can lower your electric bills, reduce emissions and even add to resale value. of your house.

Solar panels can be installed and be functional in most homes. How much power they will produce, how much they will cost, and how much money they will save will vary depending on location. However, there are many government incentives for solar panels, including state and local programs. To find out more, see the Ministry of Energy website.

5. Use curtains

Similar to painting your roof white, installing and using curtains, shades, shades, screens, awnings, draperies and shutters in your home is a simple and effective way to increase your home’s energy efficiency. .

In the summer, keeping the curtains down can keep sunlight – and heat from outside – out. Therefore, you will need and use less air conditioning. And they’re also a good way to keep warm air contained in the winter: curtains, according to the Department of Energy, can reduce heat loss in a home by 40 percent or more.

In total, about 30% of a home’s heating energy is lost through windows, according to the Department of Energy. Efficient use of curtains can significantly reduce this waste, as well as your bills – although the Department of Energy says this figure will depend on the type of curtains you use, the season and the climate.

The ministry added that the most effective type of window covering is insulated cellular shades, which typically fold like an accordion at the top of the window. The Department of Energy has also More information on the different types of curtains.
