Launch of the Family Events summer reading at the Montclair Public Library!

MONTCLAIR, NJ – A pair of free family events will kick off the 2022 summer reading season at the Montclair Public Library. This annual time, recognized by libraries nationwide, promotes literacy at a time when children and adolescents are out of school and may not otherwise maintain their reading skills. Adults are also invited to participate in the summer reading.

The launch events are:

Saturday June 25, 10am-2pm

Main Library, 50 S. Fullerton Avenue, Montclair

Sign up for the Summer Reading at the event for your chance to spin our prize wheel. Plus, enjoy a 24-foot slide, a bouncy house and two special performances:

Giant Bubbles with Mr. Zoom Balloons – 11:10 a.m.

Let yourself be surprised by the gigantic floating bubbles, 10 times larger than normal, which defy the law of gravity.

Whales, sails and dolphin tales! with Housel Fitness – 12:50 p.m.

This interactive read-aloud will get everyone moving with snippets of beloved stories followed by ocean activity play and lots of dancing.
