THE PSOE party of Albox has announced that it wants to create a program for childhood and adolescence.

This would be based on the promotion of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and on the organization of a local system for safeguarding the rights of the child.

In this way, Albox would eventually be recognized by the UN as a child-friendly municipality, which would mean new opportunities for children and adolescents in the city.

“Local children, both in the city center and in outlying neighborhoods, need a dynamic city that understands and responds to their needs, keeping them in mind when building the Albox of the future” , says the PSOE statement.

The party then suggested creating both a committee for childhood and adolescence and a centre, with the cooperation of schools, parents’ associations and the children themselves.

“A city with children and teenagers is a city of the future,” the statement said.

“We believe that this future is only possible by listening to their needs and letting them participate in the decisions that affect their daily lives.”
