The Sarnia-Lambton Age-Friendly website was officially relaunched this week with expanded resources and a new design, aimed at connecting residents of all ages and stages, with the health services and community supports they need. need.

The new website was spearheaded by Lambton Public Health, Lambton Elderly Outreach, Family Counseling Centre, Sarnia-Lambton-OHT and their partners.

“The new Age-Friendly website will provide all residents with a digital space to access so many great resources, and we knew how important it was to encompass services beyond healthcare,” says Julie Harries , health promoter, Lambton Public Health. “The website will play a key role in proactively supporting the health of our population. By taking a holistic approach to wellness, we can improve the overall health of our communities.

In its new form, Age-Friendly Sarnia-Lambton has also evolved to use community navigators through a partnership with the Family Counseling Centre. Anyone who needs help accessing the website can call 519-336-3000 for help connecting to local resources and services based on their needs. The new website also features a “my list” feature, allowing users to save all the support and service pages that match their specific needs.
