Scotland-Poland Friendly Kick Off Time, TV Channel, Live Stream

With their 2022 World Cup qualifier match against Ukraine postponed until June for obvious reasons, Scotland host Poland in an international friendly on Thursday night.

The Scots will have an eye on the outcome of the Wales-Austria clash in Cardiff as the winner will face either Scotland or Ukraine for a place in the tournament later this year.

But visiting Poland, who have been exempted from World Cup qualifiers due to sanctions against Russia, will be a fantastic way for Steve Clarke’s side to prepare for the big games ahead.

Czesław Michniewicz’s side are one place behind Ukraine and 12 above Scotland in the FIFA rankings, but have not beaten their hosts since 1990 – the two previous encounters ended in draws 2-2.

Going by these games, we can expect goals at Hampden Park on Thursday night.

Our prediction: Scotland – Poland

Until a few months ago, both teams expected to fight to keep their World Cup dreams alive this week, but now they will have to wait a little longer to do so.

It should be a fairly even match at Hampden Park on Thursday – keeping Robert Lewandowski quiet, the task which, while obvious, should prove key to Scotland’s victory hopes.

The game won’t have the intensity of a World Cup play-off, which should mean we’ll have a more open and attacking game, but both teams will still be determined to get a win ahead of the big games to come.

The last two games between the pair have ended 2-2 and it could happen again that way on Thursday.

Our prediction: Scotland 2-2 Poland (16/1 at bet365)
