Sharjah Police launches ‘elderly friendly public transport’ service for the elderly

The service is provided free of charge for non-emergency cases through several channels, either on the Sharjah Police website or on the smart app.

The Sharjah Police General Command has announced the “Elderly Friendly Public Transport” service for elderly and determined people, with the aim of transporting them from their homes to hospitals, or vice versa, in addition to transport to various services and institutions. they should visit.

The service can be obtained in several steps, starting by going to the Sharjah Police General Command website, then clicking on the services window, then clicking on the general services window, then on the transfer service of patients.

After filling in the required data relating to the patient and the nature of the health problem, the user clicks on “Save”.

After that, the responsible employee will review the request and an email will be sent to the patient indicating that their request has been approved.

The service is provided free of charge for non-emergency cases through multiple channels, either on the Sharjah Police website, smart app or by calling 065584444.

In an emergency, a person can call 998, knowing that these channels operate 24 hours a day.
