Swartz Creek Hometown Days offers four days of family events
SWARTZ CREEK, MI – Swartz Creek Hometown Days is hosting four days of family events in Genesee County this weekend.
From Thursday, June 2 through Sunday, June 5, the festival grounds at Kincaid Field off Miller Road near Swartz Creek High School will be jam-packed with entertainment, rides and food vendors.
The Arnold Amusements carnival rides will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, noon to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
“This is a fun family event to bring to our community to see smiling faces in a positive and safe way,” said Brenda Huyck, Swartz Creek Hometown Days Committee Chair.
The annual Hometown Days Parade will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, with a route from Swartz Creek High School, 1 Dragon Drive, to Miller Road and back to Ingalls Street.
The Hometown Days celebration will also have fireworks at dusk on Friday, June 3. Attendees are encouraged to park at Swartz Creek High School for the best viewing.
At 6 a.m. Friday, Randy Wise Hyundai sponsors free carnival rides for two hours, then hosts a free pancake breakfast in his hometown, Huyck said.
Other events include comedy shows, live musical performances, perennial swap, silent auction, car show, ice cream social and bingo.
